MANTOVA PESCHIERA

The longest green highway in Italy. From Mantua, by taking a short detour, you can reach the Bosco Fontana Nature Reserve. This is an area of 233 hectares which gives refuge to numerous animal species, the most prominent being the weasel, the black kite, the stone marten and the red woodpecker.

Once in Pozzolo, after about 23 km, the cycle path turns back towards the Mincio, and from there skirts the river to its destination. This route is part of the European Eurovelo7 itinerary, a route which aims to join the North Cape to Malta with a cycle path along its entire route. From the point of view of nature, it’s one of the most beautiful of the entire Eurovelo network.
